From the 2nd to 9th of March, ZEGG hosted 31 participants in our annual “Spring Action” work week. We undertook extensive improvements to the sewage plant, chopped firewood, installed green roofs on the outside kitchens and one of our residential buildings (the “Flat-Roof Bungalow”), and prepared for the coming garden season by distributing compost.
We also pruned some fruit trees, spruced up the Alhambra, swept the streets, dug a trench for a new lighting cable, spread ash from the heating plant to improve the soil and much much more. After the work there was a 90-minute group session every day and the week also saw a mantra evening, a Contact Impro evening, a disco and many cosy hours in our group accommodation, the Motel. Once again, the action was a wonderful success.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the people who have so actively supported us to develop our site during our practical work weeks.
This year the Spring Action was coordinated by Roger Balmer, Susanne Kohts, Jo Genzgen and Christine Schumacher.
