A plenary meeting of the ZEGG community on Nov 28 gave the go ahead for the next step in the conversion of the remaining attic space in our main 'Uni' building. The application for building permission will now be submitted. With this, the community wants to create urgently needed additional member accommodation. At the same time, the opportunity will be taken to give 'character' to the somewhat plain building, in the form of an impressive gable above the main entrance.
The meeting agreed to allocate available funds to progress as far as completing the basic structure or 'shell'. And the community is confident of raising the further funds required to complete the interior parts of the conversion by the end of next year.
Information about our "300 x 1000 Euro" Action
The shell will be constructed by specialist contractors. ZEGG's construction and site team ('G-Team') will carry out a major part of the preparatory works and the later interior conversion stages, together with skilled supporters from our wider community of friends. Preparations and plans have already begun - we are looking forward to a full and eventful year in 2013!
